Our Programs and Priorities
Our Innovations in Surgery program focuses on developing a nation-wide community of like-minded surgeons who are passionate about elevating the standard of care in veterinary surgery. We are actively working on projects to develop and refine techniques and treatments aimed at minimizing surgery-related pain, complications, and morbidity. Starting with identifying current problems in clinical practice, we strive to provide the highest-quality patient care, along with innovative techniques, in a collaborative environment.
Minimally invasive interventions
The program’s core commitment involves evaluating procedures that minimize surgery- and disease management-related pain and morbidity. We leverage our network of surgeons to refine existing techniques, develop new minimally invasive alternatives, and test innovative technologies focused on improving our patients’ quality of life. With expertise in arthroscopy, laparoscopy, thoracoscopy, and interventional radiology, we ensure excellence in patient care, clinical training, and outcome-based studies surrounding minimally invasive interventions.
Quality improvement
Ethos Veterinary Health hospitals provide state-of-the-art clinical care to pets with complex medical problems in the setting of multi-specialty veterinary facilities. With access to expert surgeons across the country, we have a unique ability to continually and objectively evaluate the quality of surgical improvements. This includes improving the quality of care through outcome-based assessment of surgical care, utilizing large data sets, and assessing the effects of incremental improvements on patient outcomes.
